NAISAR is not a finished product handed down from above. It is a living framework shaped by the people who understand domestic violence best: survivors, practitioners, police, legal professionals, advocates, and researchers. Your expertise, lived experience, and regional knowledge are essential to making this framework work in the real world.

What Can I Edit?

Articles are categorized by their editing permissions:

• Open Editing: Implementation guides, stakeholder resources, and community content. Anyone who accepts the Terms of Contribution can propose edits.
• Reviewer Only: Core framework documents. Only verified reviewers can edit these directly, but you can still submit suggestions through the edit process.
• Admin Only: Brand, legal, and governance documents. These are locked to maintain consistency.

The Editing Process

1. Register an account and accept the Terms of Contribution.
2. Find an article you want to improve — look for typos, outdated information, missing context, or regional specifics.
3. Click "Edit Article" and make your changes. Write a clear edit summary explaining what you changed and why.
4. Submit for review. Your edit enters the approval queue.
5. A reviewer evaluates your contribution. They may approve it, request changes, or reject it with feedback.
6. Approved edits go live immediately and are credited to your profile.

What Makes a Good Contribution?

• Accuracy: Cite sources where possible. DV policy affects real lives — precision matters.
• Clarity: Write for a broad audience: police, magistrates, survivors, and policymakers may all read this.
• Respect: When writing about victim experiences or offender rehabilitation, use person-first, non-stigmatizing language.
• Specificity: Regional data, local service names, and jurisdictional nuances make the framework actionable.
